Jeremy Bray announces the team for WCL-div3 in Oman

I would like to congratulate the 14 players selected for the Danish National Senior side to play in the world cricket league div 3 championships to be held in Oman, November 7-20.

One notable omission from the Danish squad to Oman is Bashir Shah. Unfortunately due to work commitments, Bashir has had to make himself unavailable.

Bash will be a huge loss to the side not just for his outstanding performances on the field for Denmark over many years, but his presence and demeanor off the field also. Hopefully this is not the last time we see Bashir in a Denmark shirt, a true legend of Danish cricket that epitomizes the team first, no excuse culture we look for in our players.

The squad will once again be led by Hamid Shah, who on his first trip as captain in World cricket league div 4 gained immediate promotion.

Whilst the squad is very young in age we still have a good amount of experience in Freddie Klokker, Hamid Shah, Zameer Kahn and Basit Raja, who have been involved in many world cricket league and global tournaments over the years.

We are taking away a very athletic, talented, fit and hungry squad. These were standout features on our successful tour to Malaysia and one of the most important ingredients to our success in Malaysia was that the squad played as a team and put the best interests of the team first, both on and off the pitch.

Div-3 will be a huge test for this young side and we at DCF are very confident if we play to the best of our abilities, we will again surprise a lot of people.
